Lethal Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has pushed aside his contract extension negotiations with the English Premier League club until further notice.
Aubameyang, the Gabon international, who took part in the recent African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying 2-1 victory against Angola, has not renewed his contract, as he is reportedly holding out for a possible move to Spanish soccer giants Barcelona.
It is believed that a £250,000-a-week deal is on the table at the Emirates for the Gabonese soccer star, but he has cast doubt on his future with the North London club, where he has been for several seasons after moving from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
The 30-year-old striker is said to be worried about the club’s future, as the Gunners have hit rocky waters under coach Unai Emery, who succeeded long-serving manager Arsene Wenger.
