It is barely two years since gospel artiste Ruth Matete lost her Nigerian husband following a tragic cooking gas accident.
The former Tusker Project Fame (TPF) winner has been trying to collect herself and face life all over again.
It was, indeed, a tough moment for her as she was a few months pregnant when her man, paster John Apewajowe, died.
Even so, she has been able to pull through and she is now slowly but surely getting back on her feet again.
The arrival of her bouncing baby girl, Toluwa, made it a little easier for her.
Toluwa is such a happy child and she gives her mother a lot of comfort and peace of mind.
Well, the first-time mother is over the moon, as her child is now able to take her first steps.
The little cutie will be turning one in a month’s time and her mother is happy that she is such an active child.
“Toluwa ananionyesha mambo hii nyumba. Juzi she almost dropped my Groove Award. She is so excited that she can walk akishikilia vitu. Such a joy seeing her grow,” wrote the proud mother.
The happy mother can’t wait to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday and she has asked for ideas from her fans.
He wants help to make the day memorable.
“🥰🥰🥰Her birthday is next month.💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 I have no idea how to go about it. I really want to celebrate that day. Any ideas? The only thing najua is nataka tung’are yetu yote hiyo siku🙈😂😂🤗,” she added
And to prove that motherhood feels good, Ruth has been out there looking gorgeous.
Just the other day, she confessed that motherhood was the best experience ever.
“To be honest, I am really loving this hood called motherhood.💛 For this child I prayed. For this child, I waited patiently. For this child, I cried. And God, the promise keeper didn’t fail me. He granted me my heart’s desire. I will serve Him till He returns or calls me home,” she revealed
Ruth has not been all alone, as her father, Abel Amunga, has been so supportive of her and her child.
“Toluwa is so blessed to have you as her grandfather🥰🥰. We truly love you,” Ruth penned down some time ago.
