Angry Villagers Torch Matatu That Left Death Trail In Dreadful North Rift Accident

A grisly road accident that occurred on the Kapsowar–Eldoret highway, has left two people dead.

The Saturday night, 14th December, accident involved a matatu, a truck and a boda boda.

It was reported that the matatu driver was trying to overtake the lorry where he veered off the road and smashed into boda boda riders on the other side.

Two riders died on the spot, with irate residents making their way fast to the scene and torching the matatu.

The victims’ bodies were taken to Iten Referral Hospital.

This is not the first time mobs are burning matatus and private cars that cause accidents.

Boda boda riders are notorious forthat behaviour, especially when one of their own is involved.
