Arsenal kicked off the 2020-21 English Premier League (EPL) campaign with an impressive 3-0 victory away to newly promoted Fulham on Saturday, 12th September, at Craven Cottage.

Arsenal’s goals came from Alexandre Lacazette in the eighth minute, Gabriel in the 49th and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 57th minute.

Former Chelsea winger Willian set up Gabriel and Aubameyang to score second-half goals after helping to force Alexandre Lacazette’s opener.

Willian won the Premier League’s King of the Match award for his efforts.

New signing Gabriel Magalhaes became the 10th player to score on his Premier League debut for Arsenal and the first to do so in an away match since Thomas Vermaelen in August 2009 against Everton.

Mike Arteta’s men had a complete performance, dominating their opponents with their movement, pressure, and quality on the ball.

Following the FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs, the Gunners’ squad seems to be back in action with a winning mentality.

Since taking charge of the team from Unai Emery, Arsenal’s performance under Arteta has improved greatly.

With today’s result, the Gunners bagged all the three crucial points to maintain the top spot as Fulham dropped to 20th position in the EPL standings.

In the next fixtures, Fulham will play against Leeds United away, while Arsenal will play their match against West Ham at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 19th September.

Other games Day One of the new season includes Crystal Palace vs Southampton, Liverpool vs Leeds, and West Ham United vs Newcastle United.

On Sunday, 13th September, West Bromwich Albion will clash with Leicester, while Tottenham will face Everton.
