Bhang Worth Ksh5.6 Million Seized in Nairobi

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Monday night, 2nd February, seized 267 kilogrammes of bhang estimated at a street value of Ksh5.6 million in the Kisumu Ndogo area of Nairobi.

A fully packed Toyota Probox vehicle, Reg. No. KBW 512C ,with 2,732 loose rolls of bhang was intercepted by the the detectives, who are based at Starehe.

“Upon being cornered, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, but he is being pursued,” the DCI said.

The hard drugs have since been handed over to the Anti-Nacortics Unit for safe custody and the vehicle detained.

The owner of the car, who has identified as Polycarp Otieno Aduda, according to NTSA records, is being sought.
