ODM party leader Raila Odinga has been re-admitted to the Nairobi Hospital this morning, 10th March.
The former Prime Minister was briefly attended to at the facility last evening, but discharged to take a rest at his Karen suburb home.
However, the opposition chief had to be driven back to the hospital after his health deteriorated.
Speaking to KTN, Raila’s elder brother, Oburu Oginga, confirmed that the ODM leader was in hospital.
But Oburu dismissed reports that the former Premier was seriously ill, only noting that doctors had recommended rest for him.
“It’s just general fatigue and joint pains. It is not sad news as some are putting it,” he said.
Raila started complaining of fatigue last week after winding up his busy five-day tour at the coast to popularise the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The African Union Special Envoy’s personal doctor is expected to release a comprehensive statement on his condition at midday.
In June last year, he was airlifted to Dubai for a minor back surgery.
