The Board of Directors at Britam Holding Plc has announced that its Finance Director, Charles Kimani Njuguna, will take over as an acting Managing Director following the resignation of Tavaziva Madzinga, who joined a South African based financial-services group Santam Ltd.

In a notice dated January 15, 2022, from Mr. Kuria Muchiru (Britam Board Chairman), Njuguna is to assume the roles of the MD immediately. He joined Britam in March 2021 and will lead the organization during its transition period until the search for a new MD is concluded.

“Njuguna takes over in an acting capacity of the outgoing Managing Director whose resignation has been accepted by the Board of Directors of the Company.”

“He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector where he has managed transformational projects, having worked with ABN Amro Bank, GT Bank, Old Mutual, Family Bank as the Chief Financial Officer, and Faulu Micro-Finance Bank as Managing Director.” Read part of the public announcement.

Njuguna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi and a BSc (Accounting) from United States International University (USIU). He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries Kenya.
