Internationally celebrated WAP rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset after just three years of marriage.
Cardi B claims fellow rapper Offset cheated on her throughout their entire relationship.
According to a Daily Mail report, the Bodak Yellow rapper filed documents in Superior Court in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, 15th September, under their real names — Belcalis Almanzar (Cardi B) and Kiari Cephus (Offset) — as part of a divorce petition.
The 27-year-old singer married Offset 28, in a secret ceremony in 2017, and they have a daughter, Kulture. However, Cardi B noted that their romance is over as he (Offset) ‘pretty much’ cheated in their marriage, according to TMZ.
In her filed documents, Cardi is seeking primary physical as well as legal custody of their two-year-old daughter. The Bronx-born recording artiste also wants Offset to pay child support, although TMZ states the exact amount is unclear.
The court documents state that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation” and that the relationship is “irretrievably broken”.
The documents also indicate that Cardi B wants Offset to cater for all her legal expenses in the case.
Despite their relationship appearing amorous on social media, LitKenya.com learnt that Offset’s last appearance on his wife’s Instagram was on August 20, when she shared a clip from his video.
This is not the first time the couple are parting ways. Unconfirmed reports say the two have separated twice since 2017, but have reconciled.
Cardi B accused Offset of infidelity in 2018, just five months after the birth of their daughter. Offset, however, publicly pleaded with her to give him another chance.
The Georgia-born rapper was also alleged to have been involved in a sex tape scandal with another woman in 2017.
Cardi and Offset did reconcile again, getting back together in 2019.
