Legendary Kenyan journalist Catherine Kasavuli is currently receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

An appeal has been sent out to Kenyans to donate blood for the veteran news anchor, who is currently working with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

“Dear friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. Our dear colleague Catherine Kasavuli is hospitalized at the KNH Private Wing after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. For those who can, she needs a blood transfusion urgently. Your prayers and support will be very much welcome,” said KBC Managing Director Samuel Maina.

Any blood group will be accepted since she is a universal recipient.
