Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has today, 31st March, declared Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County, a quarantine area for the novel Covid-19.
The directive comes after 720 young people were found meeting at the hotel despite social distancing and congregating advisories from the Health ministry.
Kagwe further said that all the 720 youth would all be quarantined and tested before being released.
National government administrators in Machakos on Tuesday ordered the indefinite closure of Maanzoni Lodge, a popular conferencing facility located in Athi River, after the management violated a government directive prohibiting public gatherings.
