The Jubilee Party has made some changes in its leadership.
The National Delegates Conference (NDC) endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta to continue serving as its leader.
However, Deputy President William Ruto was stripped of his position as deputy party leader.
DP Ruto has already declared his intention to run for the presidency on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket. He is the de-facto party leader of UDA.
Lawmakers allied to the DP are expected to resign from Jubilee very soon and join UDA.
Also, Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju has been be replaced after he resigned.
His position has been taken by Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni.
The party said Tuju would take up a more prominent political role.
