The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of Deputy President William Ruto has tapped Nation journalist Wanjohi Githae.
In a statement, UDA Secretary-General Veronica Maina said Githae had been hired as the outfit’s Director of Communication.
He will be in charge of the party’s print, broadcast and online communications.
Maina said Githae’s wealth of experience in communication and media relations would help the party to achieve its objectives.
“He has worked in leading media houses, including the Nation Media Group and Mediamax as a political reporter and editor for the last 15 years,” she said.
Popularly known as the wheelbarrow party, UDA has been working on new strategies ahead of the2022 General Election.
Speaking during a recent interview with Citizen TV, DP Ruto confirmed that he could use UDA to run for President in next year’s poll after falling out with President Uhuru Kenyatta and by extension the Jubilee Party.
