Drama as Children Reject Absentee Mother, Insist their Father is Loving Enough

For many people across the world, having a mother cannot be compared to anything else.

However, it’s not the same for everyone.

There was drama in Roysambu, Nairobi, on Sunday, 24th May, when three children rejected their own mother in broad daylight.

The mother, who has been identified as Grace, had gone to court seeking custody of her children.

She won the case and the father was directed to hand over the children to her.

However, drama began when the three insisted that they did not want to go to their mother.

The unidentified man told NTV that the woman walked out of their matrimonial home in 2018, leaving behind the children, one of whom was still breastfeeding.

The father, whom Kenyans have celebrated as a hero, took it upon himself to care for the little girl and now she is a school-going child.

“I obeyed the court order to take the children to their mother, but they have refused to go to her. They are in my car,” he said.

The eldest son said there was no way they could live with a person they had not seen for three years.

“We want our dad. She is not our mum. She is called Grace Wachira. You work with her at Inooro. We don’t even want to listen to her,” he said.
