The Kibwezi West Sub-County director of education has stepped up his door to door campaign, hoping to exceed the 100 percent admission of the 2019 KCPE exam candidates to Form One.
Speaking during a meeting at Kibwezi Township Primary School, Kennedy Machora urged parents to consider taking back to secondary school students who had dropped out.
He vowed to comb the entire sub-county for all the dropouts.
“Out of the 7,500 2019 KCPE exam candidates, only eight are yet to join secondary schools and I am committed to ensuring that they are all admitted,” he said.
The Kibwezi Youth Mentorship and Sports Association donated encyclopedias to pupils of Kibwezi Township, Emali and Kiiiaoni primary schools.
Patron Mwengi Mutusi, a lawyer, promised that they would build a dormitory in the school by the end of the year.
“We are committed to ensuring that the standard of education in Kibwezi West improves,” he said,
He urged teachers, parents and the pupils to work together to boost academic performance.
