Just as the old adage goes, East or West, home is best, former Funyula MP and 2017 Busia gubernatorial candidate Paul Otuoma has rejoined the ODM party ahead of the 2022 General Election.

This comes four years after the former ODM national vice-chairman ditched the Raila Odinga-led party.

Dr Otuoma resigned on 21st April 2017 after losing the party’s nomination to Governor Sospeter Ojaamong.

On Wednesday morning, 17th February, he shared a picture of his visit to the ODM party headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi, on his social media saying that he was pleased to have met with the staff.

“Today, I visited our party headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi. It was a pleasure interacting with staff at Chungwa House #TukoTayari,” said Dr Otuoma.

Dr Otuoma was the Funyula MP until August 2017, when he ran as an Independent candidate for the Busia gubernatorial seat and lost to Ojaamong.

Later, he filed a petition in the High Court seeking to nullify the election, but the Court upheld Ojaamong’s victory.
