The saying, “love is blind”, has been used over an over again and each day we find good reasons to repeat it.

Popular journalist Njogu Wa Njoroge, who has worked in all the leading Kikuyu stations has surprised his fans by announcing that he is remarrying divorced Kikuyu singer Mary Lincon

The good news was broken by Njoroge’s co-host at Kameme TV, Wangechi Wa Kariuki.

Kariuki said she was happy for the newest couple in town and all she could wish them is a long lasting union.

“Njogu is a blessed man…and Jesus told everyone… David is a man after my own heart despite all his shortcomings…who are you to…”

“Mary Lincon is one pure girl I have ever met. Njogu, my friend, you have found a good thing. Jealous people, please, take your petitions to the chief. Love wins always,” she wrote on Facebook.

From the post, it was clear that the TV personality had felt the new development would spark mixed reactions and sure, it did.

Facebook users converged on the comments’ section to castigate the two for what they termed as “hypocrisy”.

The gospel musician has been married for years and together with her ex-husband they had three daughters. Njoroge, on the hand, has been known to be a family man for years.

Many opined that the new lovebirds had left their former partners to start new married life together.

However, Lincon told off the critics, stating that the veteran journalist is her ideal man.

“I love Njogu Wa Njoroge. He means the world to me. Only God knows the wounds he has healed in me,” she said.

In another recent post, Kariuki laughed off the negative feedback and asked all who are agitated to focus on building their own lives.

“You jealous people, please, when you finish your gossip, leave my page.”

Njoroge is a famous journalist, who is a personal friend to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The smart scribe has interviewed almost all the Kenyan political heavyweights, including President Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
