Gor Mahia Bounce Back to Winning Ways With Zoo Kericho Thrashing

Gor Mahia hammered Zoo Kericho 3-0 in an FKF Premier League match at the Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi, on Wednesday, 27th January.

This was their quick response to their shocking 1-0 defeat to Premier League newbies Vihiga United last weekend.

Samuel Onyango opened the scoring for K’Ogalo in the 10th minute before Captain Kenneth Muguna netted the second goal in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Sydney Ochieng scored the third goal in stoppage time to seal the victory for the hosts.

The win moved Gor Mahia to the seventh position on the Premier League log with 12 points from seven league matches. They are now nine points behind league leaders KCB. The bankers have played one extra match.

Meanwhile, Zoo Kericho, who have not won any league match, remain at the bottom with two points.

They will next visit Nzoia Sugar on Sunday, 31st January, in search of their first win. as K’Ogalo travel to the coast to face Bandari FC the same day.

In another match played today, Ulinzi Stars beat Mathare United 2-1 at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

The soldiers took the lead in the seventh minute through Daniel Waweru. In the second half, Elvis Nandwa doubled the lead in the 71st minute. Daniel Otieno scored the consolation goal for the slum Boys in the 88th minute.
