Narok Governor Samuel Tunai on Saturday afternoon, 17th October, narrowly survived a helicopter crash in the county.
The governor was accompanied by Narok East MP Ken Kiloku and two other people when the accident occurred at Olenkipejus Village in Melili.
They were going to attend the funeral of the father of a former county finance executive.
The four, who sustained minor injuries, were rushed to a nearby health facility for assessment.
However, the county boss later told the Citizen Digital that he had been airlifted to Nairobi for more checkups.
A huge crowd gathered at the scene to get a view of the helicopter wreckage.
The cause of the near fatal mishap could not be immediately established.
