Celebrated Kenyan actor Davis Mwabili alias Inspekta Mwala has reacted to rumours that he had died.

Mwala was forced to clear the air following a viral TikTok Video that announced his death.

An account using a funny name, @Vonkali23, had on January 5, published a slideshow alleging the death of the veteran thespian.

The 22-second clip was captioned: “RIP Mwala… He died today in the morning.”

The TikTok user had photos of Mwala starring with his fellow actors on the ‘Inspekta Mwala’ show aired on Citizen TV on Tuesdays.

He took to social media to dispel the rumours and did not hide his disgust.

“Mwala is still alive, whoever made the clip should watch out because I have reported to the DCI, and it will not be pretty when we catch up with them,” he said.

The exasperated comedian lamented that this not the first time for such news to spread online, but said this time the suspect will pay dearly.

“It’s not the first time this is happening, these people kill me on social media every year. This time it was TikTok, last year it was Facebook, another time Twitter….it needs to stop.”
