It was Noisy and Messy, Tanga Tanga MPs Reveal Details of Sagana Meeting with Uhuru

Details of the Sagana Lodge meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and leaders from his Mt Kenya region backyard have started coming out.

The Tanga Tanga faction of the Jubilee Party, which is allied to Deputy President William Ruto, is seemingly an unhappy, if their disgruntled voices are anything to go by.

MPs Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu), John Kiarie KJ (Dagorreti South), and Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati) and other leaders, claimed that the meeting did not agree on anything.

“That wasn’t a meeting. The President will have a meeting with us later,” KJ said in an interview with Inooro TV.

The sentiments were echoed by Ndindi, who said the organisers of the meeting had failed in a big way.

Ngunjiri said the meeting had only caused more divisions among the ruling partys members from Mt Kenya region.

He accused the President of stirring confusion in Jubilee and trying to escape blame by saying that he was not the organiser of the meeting.

“The President told us the meeting was organised by other people without his knowledge. This is quite unfortunate,” the MP wrote on Facebook.

However, the Kieleweke faction that addressed the meeting claimed their counterparts had been compromised to show disrespect the President.

Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu dismissed claims that some people were out to destroy Jubilee.

Ngunjiri, who is in the Kieleweke said the meeting was successful, adding that those complaining had expected the President to assure DP Ruto of support in 2022.
