Jamaican Star Buju Banton Finally Arrives in Nairobi

Jamaican reggae and dancehall artiste Buju Banton arrived in Nairobi on Thursday night, 13th February, ahead of his much-anticipated show at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) grounds on Saturday evening.

This will be his maiden show in Africa since he was released from jail in 2018. Buju was received by a large crowd of enthusiastic fans.

Buju said he was happy to be in Nairobi.

“I have been really looking forward to coming to Kenya and it has been a long wait, but I am finally here. I am very happy and looking forward to having a nice time,” Buju said.

Banton had been scheduled to perform last Saturday, but the show was rescheduled to allow Kenyans to mourn the death of former President Daniel arap Moi.
