Top media personality Kamene Goro is reportedly parting ways with Kiss FM after a three-year stint as a breakfast show host.
People close to the presenter have confided that she is enjoying her last days at the famous station.
“Kamene is leaving Kiss FM soon. That is clear,” a source said.
The reasons behind her unprecedented exit have not been revealed.
Kiss FM, one of the big media brands under Radio Africa Group, has been Kamene’s employer since 2019.
She joined the station with former co-host Andrew Kibe after being poached from NRG radio.
Kibe left the station in mid-2020 to become a content creator. He has since relocated to the United States, though he continues to make videos, often controversial.
Kamene was weeks later paired with comedian Felix Odiwour aka Jalang’o, who also left the show in February 2022 to dive into politics. He was elected Lang’ata MP in the August 9, 2022 election.
Jalang’o and Kamene created one of the most listened-to shows in the country, giving the station more advertisement gigs.
Comedian Oga Obinna replaced Jalang’o and the duo is still hitting the airwaves. it is not clear whether Obinaa will be retained after Kamene’s exit given that the station has a history of bringing in new pairs for the show, save for the time Kamene has been the main host.
Obinna and Kamene have been generating debates mostly due to their unique outfits while appearing for the show.
There was a time when they showed up dressed like a royal couple, Kamene with an outfit of a Queen and Obinna dressed like a king.
