Congratulations are in order for celebrated musician Wahu Kagwe, who just revealed that she is carrying a bundle of joy.
Wahu confirmed the pregnancy with her husband, David Mathenge aka Nameless, who is also a singer, and their two daughters, Tumiso and Nyakio.
And they announced the pregnancy in style.
They took to the dancing floor and arranged themselves in a straight line, with Nyakio (the youngest daughter) in front and Wahu behind.
Nyakio did her body rolls, followed by her elder sister and then their father before exiting.
Wahu was left to show his dance moves alone and she was kind enough to flaunt to her her fans there is a bun in the oven. Nameless and two girls joined shortly afterwards and that’s the pregnancy was revealed.
“M-let loading…I’m overjoyed grateful…humbled…,” she wrote.
“When I visit my friends with small babies and see how they struggle with them, I am like, I do not want to do this again. They are cute and babies are gorgeous, but I do not want to go through all that again,” she said.
Two years earlier, Nameless had expressed desire to have another child, preferably a boy.
“I can’t mind having a boy now that I have two girls,” he said.
It seems his wish has prevailed though the couple is yet to reveal the gender of their unborn baby.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in from fans and celebrity friends, many of whom are wishing them a joyous journey.
Litkenya led the affair, saying: “Congratulations to the Mathenges. May the baby bring you joy.
Content creator Milly Chebby predicts that it’s a boy. “Congratulations mama! It’s a bouncing baby boy.”
Radio presenter Mwalimu Rachel is happy for the couple, but thanks the cold season. “I knew this weather will bring something. Congratulations!”
Media personality Janet Mbugua loved how the reveal was done. “Girl! Congratulations to you, Nameless and your beautiful girls. Love this reveal.”
Actor Daddie Marto noted that the big reveal exceeded her expectations. “Now that’s an announcement! Damn! Congratulations.”
Social media user Carren Chucho wanted this news so bad for the Mathenges. “I don’t know what I feel but this is what I’ve waiting from my favourite couple. Congratulations Wahu!”
