A Mombasa court has ordered the deportation of a British tourist who arrived at Moi International Airport, Mombasa, on Saturday, 8th February.

This is after it was established that the tourist deliberately failed to submit his travel documents to the Immigration.

Gregory Charles is said to have picked up his luggage and snubbed the Immigration officials who wanted to stamp his passport.

Mombasa Resident Magistrate Vincent Adat ordered that the tourist be deported after paying a fine of Ksh100,000.

If he fails to raise the cash bail, he will be jailed for two months, after which he will be sent back to the UK.

The foreigner flouted Kenya Airport Authority (KAA) regulations.

The KAA requires both domestic and international travellers to submit their travel documents at the control desks in the arrival lounge.
