Super substitute Alexandre Lacazette’s late goal extended Arsenal‘s unbeaten English Premier League run, with a 1-0 victory over fellow Londoners West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 7th, March.
Speaking after the match, the Frenchman said he was happy to score for the team.
“I’m happy to score for the team. We worked hard. It was a difficult game. I’m happy. They deserved more because of the chances they created. This is football, sometimes you don’t get what you deserve,” Lacazette was quoted by the club’s website, as saying.
“It is my job to give the manager a big headache. I’m struggling to make the first team but I’m happy to score again today.
“I know that now I have to play well again the next game. Everyone wants to give their best and it’s normal that whenever we do that we will perform as a team.”
With the win, Arsenal moved into the ninth place ahead of Burnley. West Ham remained 16th on the table, with 27 points, outside the relegation zone with a goal difference.
