Kenya Premier League (KPL) giants Gor Mahia have signed Malawian teenager Andrew Malisero from African Warriors FC.
The attacking midfielder, who becomes the latest addition to the Green Army’s squad, has signed a three-year deal, which will keep him at the club until 2023.
“After signing a three-year deal, Andrew becomes the first Malawian national to play for K’Ogalo,” a statement on the club’s official website said.
“Malisero can play both as an attacking midfielder and striker and will provide much needed attacking options to the team.”
The 17-year-old becomes the third foreigner to join K’Ogalo during the current transfer window after the arrival of Ugandan Tito Okello and Cameroonian Bertrand Konfor.
Today, the club also secured the services of Western Stima right-back Kelvin Wesonga Mutsosi and centre-back Kennedy Odhiambo as well as midfielder John Ochieng from Chemelil Sugar.
Wesonga penned a four-year deal, while Odhiambo and Ochieng both inked two-year deals.
Other players, who have joined K’Ogalo, are goalkeepers Levis Opiyo from Nairobi City Stars, and Samuel Njau (Western Stima), Sydney Ochieng (Western Stima), Andrew Juma (Mathare United), John Macharia (Georgia), and Benson Ochieng Oluoch (Western Stima).
Gor Mahia now becomes the busiest club in the transfer window after moneybags Wazito FC, who have so far completed 13 new signings.
