A heartbroken mother is demanding justice for her daughter, who died in school.

Iryne Kagiri has accused Njoro Girls High School in Nakuru County of being responsible for her daughter’s death.

In a series of posts on her Facebook page, the inconsolable mum said the school failed to respond immediately when her child complained of feeling sick.

She claimed her daughter was ignored and told she was faking pain to be allowed to go home.

The school only called her parents after she had passed away.

The postmortem results indicated that she was overpowered by acute pneumonia and her last moments on earth were painful.

“The finding by the pathologist was that my baby was in so much pain in her last moment. One of her lungs had water of 200ml and the ribs were inflammed so she struggled breathing. I am trying to find peace within myself that my baby is resting but I can’t!

“How come the school is claiming that she ate that morning and the finding by the pathologist was that she had not taken any food for the last 72 hours? Did the nurse not get concerned with her temperature of 39 degrees Celsius? Did the administration not think it’s fit to contact us from Tuesday when she started to feel unwell?” she asked.
