Mutula Kilonzo Jr Lectures DP Ruto to His Face: ‘We Don’t Need Your Money’

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior turned his relative’s funeral into a political lecture section, deflating Deputy President William Ruto and his “Hustlers’ Movement”.

Dr Ruto and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana were present, and the lawmaker separately dressed-down the two.

Kilonzo accused the DP of hypocrisy, telling him to stop running away from the failures of the Jubilee government.

The senator said the Uhuruto administration had neglected the Lower Eastern region, denying the area needed infrastructure.

“I’m so ashamed of this government. They have done nothing to help us have better roads. Some of the contractors with tenders to construct our roads cannot work because the government owes them money,” he said.

“To you, Deputy President, you are equally responsible. Don’t blame other things for the incompetence of your government with President Uhuru Kenyatta.”

The lawyer said the DP-linked “Hustlers; Nation” was deceptive, as the leaders driving the philosophy are all rich.

He added that the Kamba people would not be auctioned to the highest bidder.

“We know what we want. Give us good roads so that we are able to take our produce to big markets. Deputy President, we know you are seeking the presidency, but first, we need development. We will not be forced into the Hustlers’ Nation.

“Don’t come with handouts here. We don’t need your free money because we, the Kamba people, are brutally honest and know what we want,” he said.

The second-term Senator went ahead to rebuke Governor Kibwana for allegedly failing to give the people of Makueni better healthcare.

“If you ask these people, they will tell you that the dispensaries around here do not have medicine. Is that the case or I’m lying?” he posed. The response was affirmative.
