Popular musician Nameless (David Mathenge) has given his 39-year-old wife, gospel singer Wahu Kagwi, a nice early Valentine’s Day treat.
Wahu took to her Instagram to assure her husband that all his sins had been forgiven as a result of this one kind act but she couldn’t believe it was his original idea.
“Thank you @prideinnparadisebeachresort for helping out my Kikuyu man kiasi. This poolside dinner can’t have been his idea 🤔🤭. Either way, you are forgiven for all your past present and future sins.
Her husband, on the other hand, did it all to dispel the long-held belief that Kikuyu men are not romantic.
“Gnight from Bwana Mathenge😎…KikuyuRomance in full effect👊🏾.. by the time I am done here sitaki kuskia ati Kikuyu men are not romantic…Ama namna gani my frens👊🏾… Alafu huyu anapendanga kukula chakula changu 🤷🏾♂️na ako na chake🤦🏽♂️ni issue ingine napeleka men’s conference this Friday… Anyway for now. #doingitfortheculture”
Married for 15 years now, they have together been blessed with two stunning daughters.
They are among the longest lasting celebrity couples in Kenya, Wahu met Nameless while performing when she was at university and later in the music industry where their love blossomed.
After speculation and an active rumour mill, they held one of the most lavish weddings in Kenya, making news headlines.
At the beginning of this year, the proud mother of two, who is a songwriter, former fashion model, actress and entrepreneur, had some touching advice for couples. Her four-point recipe was:
1. Understand each other. Relationship requires work;
2. Respect each other. Nobody is better than the other in the relationship. Focus on the strengths and not the weaknesses;
3. Talk to each other about your fears, and your concerns;
4. Be sincere to each other on the challenges you are facing
