The self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna has been trending on Twitter as netizens complained about the Canada-based activist lawyer’s habit of blocking other users from accessing his profile.
Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) did not spare him as they criticised his behaviour of blocking those who correct his comments.
Some had made fun out of it as others asked: “Who will receive Miguna Miguna at JKIA? Who will walk with him to Uhuru Park? He has blocked almost everyone.”
They say Miguna takes offence if anyone opposes his line of thought. He then blocks those who try to engage with him over his opinions.
Two years ago, Miguna Miguna was deported from Kenya on the ground that he was no longer a Kenyan citizen.
The Immigration Department denied him entry because he had renounced his Kenyan citizenship. His case was taken to court by several lawyers and activists but Miguna lost the case.
In his tweet on Thursday, Miguna announced that he would be coming back to Kenya on Tuesday, 7th January 2020. Earlier, he had announced that his homecoming would be on 11th January. He further said that due to public demand, he had moved the homecoming forward to 7th January 2020.
