Panic Engulfs Constituency Following Consecutive Cases of People Falling and Dying

Makueni County residents are demanding quick investigations into two consecutive cases of people falling and dying instantly within one month.

In the most recent incident, last evening, 29th March, a 46-year-old man fell and died after alighting from a bus at Mukuyuni Market in Mbooni East constituency.

County Police Commander Joseph ole Napeiyan said that the man was declared dead on arrival at Mukuyuni Sub-County Hospital, but the cause had not yet been established.

“Police and health officers are investigating the incidents. We will let you know what really killed the man,” said.

Two weeks ago, another man fell and died a few minutes after alighting from a bus in Mtito Andei Township.

A medical examination revealed that he had died as a result of heart complications.

The two cases have left the people scratching their heads in fear over who could be next.

Yesterday, the people of Malaa area in Kangundo constituency, Machakos County, were stunned by the sudden death of young man, with claims that he might have shown coronavirus disease symptoms.

Kangundo MP Fabian Kyule called for calm, assuring the locals that samples had been collected and sent to the coronavirus disease centre at Mbagathi Hospital in Nairobi for examination.
