Top online content creator and wife of former gospel musician Bahati, Diana Marua, is in deep mourning.
Diana has lost one of the most important people in her life.
Her maternal grandmother died today, 2nd August, after battling a long illness.
Diana’s grandma was more of a mother to her and her siblings after they lost their mum when they were young many years ago.
Taking to her social media platforms, she expressed her sorrow at the big loss.
She also shared a video of her late grandma during the first day she was admitted to hospital.
“This was 28th of May… The day my grandma was admitted to hospital. It’s been difficult to see you suffer in hospital even as we did the best we could to see you get better. All was left was to trust in God amidst all the uncertainties,” wrote Diana.
Upon receiving the news of her death, Diana could only recall how loving and caring her grandma was.
“I woke up to the sad news yesterday morning that the Lord took the most precious person in our lives. You did everything for me shosho when I had nowhere else to go to. You played the role of mummy in her absence and for that, I’ll forever be grateful.”
The YouTuber revealed how heartbreaking it was for her during her grandma’s sickness.
However, Diana said the old woman was now at peace as she would not suffer pain again.
“You suffered too much for the two months that you were in hospital. I drove back home from the hospital crying, I cried myself to sleep, it was too much for me to handle. I couldn’t take it anymore. I’m at peace knowing that you are no longer in pain. The Heavens are blessed to gain an angel,” she poured her heart out.
Diana lost her mother 12 years ago.
“Give mummy a big hug. I promise that I will continue making you proud,” she penned her parting shot.
Last year, Diana celebrated her late mother’s 51st birthday, with an emotional message.
“Today is a special day for you, mummy. It’s your birthday, as you Turn 51😍. I know the angels are preparing a feast for you, It’s going to be fireworks in heaven today. Why are they so blessed to have you? 😫 Eleven years on, how I wish I had one more chance to talk to you face to face, hug you, hold your hands, and celebrate this day with you 😭,” wrote the mother of two.
Diana pointed out that her mother left her too early but she was still grateful.
“You left too soon when life was beginning for me but God carried me through it… Mama, thank you for your prayers, your love, and the care you gave us in the little time God purposed for us. Your last words still echo in my mind. Happy birthday, mum, till we meet again. Forever in my heart ❤🙏,” she concluded.
