Police Officer Attached to DP Ruto Found Dead Days After Fake Arms Deal Expose

A police officer deployed to Deputy President William Ruto’s office in Harambee Annex, Nairobi, has been found dead at his Imara Daima house in the city.

The officer had a bullet wound in his body, suggesting that someone could have shot him.

As reported by The Standard, the security man was on duty when former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa reportedly used DP Ruto’s office to lure foreign investors into a fake firearms deal.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations had said they would interrogate police officers who were on duty when the meeting happened.

The DP has clarified that he was in his official government residence at Karen, when Echesa and his team visited his offices.
