Pro-BBI and Kieleweke Politicians Only to Address Uhuru at Mt Kenya Leaders’ Forum

The list of the Mt Kenya leaders who will speak during a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Sagana State Lodge has been revealed.

According to the official programme, former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe will be the master of ceremonies.

Pastor Peter Munga, representing the Kikuyu Council of Elders, will kick off the meeting with a word of prayer.

Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, who has been championing the handshake and anticipated BBI report, will speak on behalf of fellow lawmakers.

Whether by coincidence or not, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi, a pro BBI choir mistress, will present the governors’ agenda to the President.

Embu Senator Njeru Ndwiga will address the high profile meeting on behalf of the senators from the region.

Former University of Nairobi student leader Wambui Nyutu will highlight the challenges youth are facing in the region.
Peter Munga will be a notable key speaker on behalf of the business community, which has faulted the Uhuru government for its current bad fortunes.

Former Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe, a corporate leader, will represent the professionals’ group.

Others who will address the meeting are Cabinet Secretaries Joe Mucheru, Margaret Kobia, James Macharia, and Sicily Kariuki and Principal Secretaries Kirimi Kaberia and Karanja Kibicho.

All the sectors in the Mt Kenya region will be represented at the development forum.

The President will meet eye to eye with some leaders who have been openly defying his handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga and the much-anticipated BBI report.
