It is now obvious that either Mama Rachel Ruto or Mama Ida Odinga will be the next First Lady depending on the outcome of the presidential election.

Their husbands, Azimio la Umoja flag bearer Raila Odinga and UDA presidential candidate William Ruto are the front-runners in the race to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta next month.

With only 37 days to General Election, Rachel and Ida are trying to use their influence to sway voters.

The two women have raised their presence on social media networks in recent past.

The hashtags used in their social media posts are similar to those their husbands are popularising in their respective campaign trails.

One common thing in their online campaigns in trying to portray their better halves as great family men, who will be good fathers of the nation if elected.

“I believe in Raila Odinga because of his decency, character, and conviction to serve our Country Kenya. As the August 9th date with destiny nears, I urge you to elect leaders that you truly bet on and have constantly shown their love and concern for the people. #Inawezekana,” Dr Ida recently penned down.

The gospel by Rachel is no different.

“The Kenya Kwanza Manifesto is an inspiring and well researched invitation to alter our economy and society as a whole. It serves as a guide for how we will overcome the economic catastrophe we are currently experiencing and forge a new social fabric,” Rachel wrote on Thursday, June 30, after her husband outlined his agenda to the country.

Ruto’s wife has even become a fashionista lately.

In recent weeks, she has been donning elegant designer clothes that some Kenyans are conceding that they are making her look beautiful.

Is she not fabulous in this outfit?

On the other hand, Ida has become a familiar face in Azimio presidential campaigns besides posting a lot on her social media pages.
