The wife of Mugithi maestro Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh has elicited divergent opinions after appearing to suggest that city lawyer Karen Nyamu is not fit to become the next senator of Nairobi.
In a post on her social media platforms, Eddah Nderitu endorsed Julie Kabogo for the position. Julie is contesting for the seat using the Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Eddah advised city dwellers not to gamble with their votes.
“My senator (Nairobi senator 2022),” she wrote and shared a campaign poster of Julie.
Interestingly, Nyamu also wants to become the third senator of Nairobi under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Eddah and Nyamu have been grabbing gist headlines over the last year for being in love with the musician.
The Nairobi politician has been expressing love for Samidoh although he is “happily married”.
According to her, she fell in love with the celebrated singer and that fact can never change. However, she insists that she is not a homewrecker and has no intentions of breaking Samidoh’s family.
“Deep inside me there is a little girl that adores Mr. Muchoki… and I have never hidden that fact,” she said in November last year.
Meanwhile, this is how Kenyans reacted after Eddah endorsed Nyamu’s opponent for the Nairobi senatorial seat.
Shee Murage: “Co-wives should support each other…family interest…haha!”
Shanice Njeri: “You started being petty and way we have been praising you for being mature.”
Wangui Waweru: “Both Nyamu and Julie will not win. We are just here for entertainment. You’ve now stopped competing in the bedroom, let’s see how it turns out in politics.”
Eve Moraa: “Kama Eddah amesema ni huyu basi ndiye tunachagua.”
Kate Shiks: “If you know you know. We don’t give a mmmh about it.”
Iam Nimol: “Saa hii ndiyo unatuonyesha huwa inakuuma.”
Tin Marto: “Na mzee anasema senator ni nani.”
