After finishing their Los Angeles Sevens campaign in the 14th place, coach Paul Feeney’s side is now focusing on the sixth round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series to be held at the BC Place Stadium, Vancouver, Canada, next weekend.

Shujaa lost 28-19 to Samoa in the ninth place quarter finals before defeating Wales 29-05 in the 13th place semi-final.

The performance placed them in Pool C alongside bronze medalists New Zealand, Ireland and Spain.

Shujaa lost two matches in the fifth round of the Los Angeles Sevens against African rivals South Africa (31-05) and Canada (24-0) with their only win coming against Ireland ( 29-12).

The Kenyans will start their campaign against New Zealand at 9:53pm EAT on Saturday 7th March. At 12:43am, they will then face Ireland before closing their day one against Spain at 4:07am.

Kenya currently sits in the eleventh spot on the overall standings with 29 points.
