Shujaa Pooled with rivals South Africa in fifth round of HSBC Sevens

The Kenya national rugby team, Shujaa, has been drawn in Pool B for the fifth round of the 2019/20 HSBC Sevens World Series in Los Angeles, US. The sports event will be held on 29th February and 1st March.

Shujaa have been lined up against arch-rivals South Africa, Ireland and Canada. Hosts USA are in Pool C alongside Australia, Scotland, and Samoa. 

The Kenyans will start their campaign against South Africa on Saturday, 29th February, before taking on Ireland on Sunday, 1st March and conclude their pool fixtures with a match against Canada the same day. 

They are currently placed 11th on the series log with 26 points after the first four rounds in Dubai, Cape Town, Hamilton, and Sydney.

Shujaa did not secure any win in the two-day tournament in Sydney. They lost 14-28 to Fiji, 21-26 to Wales and 5-19 to New Zealand to finish last in Pool A.

Pool B: South Africa, Kenya, Ireland, Canada
