The woman who delivered nine babies at once earlier this year has blessed the internet with cute photos of the little ones and unveiled their faces for the first time.
Halima Cisse, 26, gave birth to the nonuplet at Ain Borja Hospital in Morocco in May.
They are five girls – Hawa, Adama, Oumou, Fatouma and Kadidia – and four boys namely; Bah, Mohammed VI, Oumar and Elhadji.
Although she admitted that it has not been easy raising the multiples, the joy of watching them grow and make milestones shadows everything.
Because they were born prematurely at 30 weeks, they are still being observed in the hospital. The children weighed between 0.5kg and 1kg.
“All of them are getting on very well and are a joy to look after. They are getting stronger every day and it may well be they are allowed to leave full-time medical care so that we can take them home” she told the Daily Mail.
Cisse and her husband Karday Arby said they have received a lot of support from well-wishers.
However, the couple noted that they were still thinking of how to adjust to a new life with the babies.
“There is a lot to worry for us, but we are full of positive thoughts,” Arby said.
Cisse is the first woman in the world to welcome nine. She broke the world record that has been held by Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to eight babies in 2009.
She is now a mother of 10, as before delivering the nonuplet she had a daughter.
