Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, and Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip are no longer an item.
Saumu confirmed the breakup during a question and answer (Q&A) session with his Instagram followers.
A fan had asked whether they were still together following rumours that the senator was cheating on her.
Straight from from the shoulder, she said they have parted ways.
“Yes, I broke up with him. There is so much I didn’t share with you, but I will,” she responded.
The 26-year-old businesswoman added that infidelity was the main cause of their separation.
She also said that she would in the coming days give more details.
“I’m yet to tell you why I left him… just a wannabe.”
Further, she alleged that the lawmaker is a deadbeat father to their 11-month-old daughter.
“The man can’t even take care of his own child. Anyway, this thing called life… I thank God I was born a hustler,” she said.
Loitiptip and Saumu got their firstborn in March 2020. However, she has another daughter from a previous relationship.
In June 2020, Saumu disclosed that they had already set a date for their wedding.
But when did the breakup happen?
Litkenya.com can independently report that they gave up on each other either in late December last year or in January 2021.
On 11th December, they jointly unveiled their child on social media.
In the same month, Loitiptip was among senators who unsuccessfully tried to save Mike Sonko from impeachment.
