Popular gossip blogger Edgar Obare is the darling of many Kenyans, but to some celebrities he poses a big threat.
About two weeks ago, Obare shared online a harrowing experience he went through at a Nairobi social joint.
He alleged that Artcaffe Restaurant served him sea food that caused him serious allergic reactions.
According to him, he would have died had he not sought medical attention immediately.
As you would expect, entertainment show hosts on television and radio picked up the story, and different media personalities have their opinions on it.
But there is this fellow working with Ebru TV, who drew the attention of ‘Tea Master’, as he is known to his fans.
In his post, Obare had indicated that the incident happened when he had been taken out for lunch by his friends.
So, Joan Munyi aka Yummy Mummy KE opined that the gossip blogger could have faked the allergies to get compensation from the eatery.
In her opinion, the vlogger was trying to use his celebrity stature to compel Artcaffe Restaurant to pay him.
She also said that Obare was so grateful that he has friends to sponsor him for lunch, yet he is a grown-up man who should foot his own bills.
Obare took to his Instagram to share the clip and captioned it: “Yummy Mummy sides with Artcaffe.”
No Hard Feelings
Though the presenter sounded very confident with her opinion, after Obare put her in the spotlight, she came back very humble.
In the comments section, Munyi wrote: “We are glad you are doing well, Edgar. No hard feelings towards you. This is showbiz and opinions differ. I’m sure you will all understand and appreciate this.”
Well, Obare’s fans did not spare her, as most argued that she was cleverly apologising to divert attention, fearing that the ‘Tea Master’ might start tracing her ways.
The blogger is feared by public figures, as he is known for damning exposes, which can put careers at grave risk.
