Gospel artiste Evelyne Wanjiru is a woman deeply in love and she would not have missed such a golden opportunity to express it. As the country celebrates Mashujaa (Heroes’) Day, 20th October, she could not have forgotten the one in her life. Wanjiru penned such a sweet message to her husband, record producer Agundabweni Akweyu.
The husband of the Mungu Mkuu hitmaker turned 40 today, and his wife was full of joy for him.
Akweyu was born on 20th October, that day when the country celebrates its freedom fighters.
Evelyne began by referring to her hubby as her shujaa (hero).
“My shujaa 🙌🏽✊🏽 happy 40th birthday ❤,” she wrote.
Evelyne and Agundabweni have been married for eight years, and she says she has watched him grow into a better man every single year.
“I have had the honour and pleasure of watching you grow, watching God groom you into an amazing man,” she added.
Then came the birthday wish for the man that Evelyne believes has partnered with God to make her who she is today.
“I’m excited for this new chapter in your life. May heaven honour you. May God expand your territories.”
At 40 years, she added, her man looks good for her.
“I raise a glass 🥂 to the love of my life. Happy birthday my literal better half, 40 sure looks good on you.”
A few days ago, the gospel songbird came up with some great insights on love, relationships and marriage.
Evelyne posed for a photo with fellow gospel artiste Christie Atieno, who was also with her husband.
“Marry someone who can carry the weight and the burden of your vision, marriage is beyond sex and bearing children.
It is disastrous to marry someone who doesn’t show any interest in what you’re called to do,” she counselled.
Evelyne and her husband have endured a childless marriage for years due to some health complications.
