Tusker FC rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar in the FKF Premier League match played at the Kasarani Annex Stadium in Nairobi on Tuesday, 23rd February.
Hillary Simiyu gave Nzoia Sugar the lead but Jackson Macharia and Henry Meja inspired the brewers to the win.
With the win, Tusker FC opens a seven-point gap on top of the Premier League table. The brewers are now on 32 points, as second-placed KCB are on 25 points with two games in hand.
The loss now leaves Nzoia Sugar in the 12th spot on the log with 14 points after playing 13 league matches.
In the next fixtures, Tusker will play against newly promoted Bidco United on Saturday, 27th February while Nzoia Sugar will face defending champions Gor Mahia on the same day.
In another match played on Tuesday, Bandari FC thrashed Vihiga United 5-0 at Mbaraki Stadium to move up to third on the log.
A brace from Benjamin Mosha, and other three goals from Abdallah Hassan, Darius Msagha, Danson Chetambe were enough to sink United.
The dockers have now registered their second win under their new Rwandan coach Andre Casa Mbungo. Last week, Bandari FC edged AFC Leopards 2-1 at Mbaraki Stadium.
Bandari will next face Ulinzi Stars on Sunday, 28th February while Vihiga United will clash with Western Stima the same day.
