Two Policemen Shot Dead, Rifles Stolen While on Patrol at Kayole in Nairobi

Gunmen shot dead two police officers on patrol in Nairobi’s Kayole area in the Eastlands. The officers were from Obama police post at Maili Saba, near Mwengenye Bridge.
The gunmen stole the police officers’ government-issued  AK47 rifles, two mobile phones and a pistol, as well as a police radio call.
According to a police statement, the two officers were attacked at around 4am, on Friday, while on patrol.
Police Constable Joel Chesire was shot in the head and PC Albert Abeere in the chest and neck.

Five spent cartridges were recovered from the scene.
Kayole OCPD Wilson Kosgey said they were investigating the incidents and would give more details as soon as possible.
