President Uhuru Kenyatta has offered Kenyans a tax relief amid their struggles with the coronavirus pandemic
The Head of State announced in his Wednesday evening address a 100 percent tax relief for people earning below Ksh24,000.
He further reorganised calendar of his Cabinet to facilitate meetings twice a week to address the menace.
The President also thanked the medical practitioners for their unending sacrifice.
He praised the critical essential service providers for their excellent work.
He called on fellow Kenyans to ensure they observe the safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
The President expressed his disappointment with the political and religious leaders who endangered the lives of other Kenyans.
He emphasised on the importance of social distancing to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
As he concluded his statement, he stressed the importance of unity in the fight against the epidemic.
