Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s family-owned Northlands Farm in Ruiru, Kiambu County is currently on fire.
Litkenya.com has seen videos showing the property currently burning.
Apparently, the torching was done a few moments ago after darkness.
It is not clear who ignited the fire.
However, the farm has been making headlines since morning hours when goons raided it.
The intruders, who seemed to enjoy support of powerful people in government, spread across the farm.
Some stole herds of goats and sheep while others were cutting trees and ferrying them. Others tried to subdivide the land.
The situation is believed to the escalation of the bad blood existing between Uhuru and President William Ruto.
At the weekend, top allies of Ruto, among them Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa, hinted at the invasion.
They vowed to teach Uhuru a lesson for suspecting that he was funding the ongoing Azimio demonstrations.
