Former Nairobi Woman Representative aspirant Karen Nyamu has apologised to mugithi star Samidoh’s wife, Edith Nderitu, for having had an affair with her husband.
The city politician said she did not know that the singer was married when they met.
Speaking to Jalang’o TV, Karen said it was Samidoh’s fault to court her as he was married.
“When I met him in 2019 during one of his performances, I didn’t know that he was engaged. It came to the light after he began hitting at me,” she said.
However, the two started fighting after their son was born.
According to her, he had refused to publicly declare he was the father, but he could support the child behind the scenes.
But the lawyer felt she could not maintain the status quo after Kenyans online began trolling her and her child.
“I could not watch my son being bashed online. I requested him to come clean on the matter because there was no doubt the child is his, but he declined.”
Disturbed by the frequent bashing, she decided to spill the beans.
“Before I said enough is enough, we fought on WhatsApp. He insisted that I wait until his birthday, but the trolling was too much. I’m happy because he accepted his baby and that’s all I wanted.”
But the mother of two is still bitter with his baby daddy. She said that she felt betrayed when he referred to her as a “friend”.
The politician said she would settle the matter when he goes to her house to see his child.
“These are family issues, I don’t want to talk much. When he comes home to see our son, I will definitely be on his case,” the lawyer said.
Asked whether she still loves Samidoh after all that drama, Karen giggled and said: “Next question, please. I won’t expose family matters here.”
At the beginning of the year, the mother of two hinted that she was the musician’s second wife.
