The name Brian Babu may not ring a bell in the minds of many Kenyans. But this man is a fashion master and creative stylist, who is known for his adeptness at bringing out originality in his exemplary masterpieces. He is a free thinker who dresses people for a living.
His career path is interestingly unique, as fashion has been stereotyped as a woman’s field by the society. Being a man, Brian making the decision to go along that path can be considered daring.

The award-winning stylist dresses celebrities, including top media personalities, especially for events, video shoots, movies, book covers, and interviews.

He has dressed the high-riding Sauti Sol Band, Kaligraph Jones, Nameless, Wahu, and Nyashinski. Top media personalities to have also benefit from his creativity include Amina Abdi, Janet Mbugua, and Caroline Mutoko.

TV presenter Amina has been recognised as a fashion icon at awards through Brian’s commendable work. She won East Africa’s Most Stylish Female Host of the Year award.

He chooses what best suits an individual.

“I remember my mother designed clothes for media personalities such as Catherine Kasavuli, Mercy Oburu, and Christine Nguku of KTN,” Brian recalled during a recent interview.

In 2018, he bagged the Stylist of the Year in the Abyranz Style and Fashion Awards in Kampala.
