Former Gospel artiste Kevin Bahati’s wife Diana Marua has been the talk of the internet over the last few days after she launched her music career.
Diana released her first song titled Hatutaachana on Monday, November. The composition has amassed more than 1.1 million views on YouTube.
This morning, she dropped another jam dubbed One Day and it has garnered more than 43,000 views within two hours.
All indications point that she has started her career on the high, thanks to her brand and her husband’s popularity.
But a few years ago, Bahati was on record as saying that his wife can sing.
At the time, he was not on good terms with fellow musician Tarus Omondi alias Mr Seed.
They had fallen out after Seed accused and his wife Nimo Gachuiri accused him of misusing them. Seed was under Bahati’s label then.
Shortly after they parted ways, Nimo established her music career with the full support of her husband.
Bahati, who was presumably Nimo and her husband said Diana can’t try singing because she knows her strengths.
“My wife does not force issues. She likes to be original and authentic and that’s why her brand is growing every day,” he said.
He even alluded that the reason why Diana had more Instagram followers than Seed and Nimo is because of her originality.
First forward, the beef between the Bahati’s and The Seed family has been solved and Diana joined the music industry.
For her to perform at any event, the client will be parting with Ksh850,000 per show.
Her first song attracted a whirlwind of reactions on social media, with a good number of netizens expressing that she has no talent in singing.
Others noted that she should pursue her dreams without fear.
