Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula has revealed that the commission has flagged some 10,000 votes that were erroneously given to one of the leading presidential candidates.

According to Chebukati, they detected that the 10,000 votes from Kiambu Town constituency were tallied in favour of Deputy President William Ruto.

In the wrong results, Ruto had received 51,050 votes while I’m reality he managed 41,050.

In the same constituency, Ruto’s main challenger Raila got 14,860 votes.

This comes amid claims that Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance inflated his numbers in the Mt Kenya region.

On Thursday, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi questioned how Ruto was in cut-throat competition with Raila yet the voter turnout in the Mt Kenya region was low and the former Prime Minister performed way better than in previous elections.

Ngunyi insisted that Azimio agents at the Bomas of Kenya must be hawk-eyed while verifying results from Mt Kenya constituencies.

“SOMETHING doesn’t ADD UP: If Voter TURNOUT in Mt Kenya was VERY LOW, what EXPLAINS the 49% Raila; 49% Ruto in MEDIA? This BEATS scientific LOGIC. If Azimio SLEEPS through Bomas, TABLES will TURN. Remember: Mkokoteni has only ONE WHEEL. Don’t be LAZY at Bomas,” he said.
